Zumba is a fitness exercise whose movements consist of a combination of salsa dances and latin dance movements. The exercise movement also inserted aerobic gymnastics choreography, so it seemed like a sport while dancing. The combination of various dance movements such as cha-cha, salsa, tango, and flamenco accompanied by music becomes an exciting and healthy sport. 
 
Dancing in jurisprudence is called ar-raqshu. Mentioned in the Mu'jam Al-Wasith dictionary: 
 
تنقَّل وحرك جسمه على إِيقاع موسيقى أو على الغناء 
 
"(Ar-raqshu is) someone moves around and moves his body according to the rhythm of music or singing." 
 
The scholars who are passionate about guiding the people to goodness and preventing the people from evil discuss the problem of ar-raqshu. 
 
Scholars disagree about the ar-raqshu law. Some Syafi'iyyah scholars allow ar-raqshu, The law of ar-raqshu in general is makruh. But this is if it is not accompanied by acts that are prohibited by religion such as accompanied by music, opening aurat, style like women, imitating infidels, drinking khamr and others. If accompanied by things that are forbidden then the law is forbidden according to agreed scholars.

At the end of the 20th century and into the 21st century, the use of headscarves is increasingly lively in the Islamic world, especially in Indonesia. Even so, the practice of veiling still invites controversy in a number of countries in the West, such as France, Britain and America. In these countries the hijab is considered an ancient garment that will curb women's freedom and hinder the progress of Muslims. In this context, headscarves are always associated with political and ideological issues. Even though the obligation of veiling is not a monopoly on Islamic teachings but it is also established in the traditions before Islam. Murtadha Motahhari stated that hijab and veil had been in the midst of some before Islam. The people of Iran in the past, Jewish groups, and also the Indian nation were wearing a headscarf. Headscarves are also used as clothes that are respected by Zaroaster women, Hindus, Jews and Christians.

HIJAB ACCORDING TO JEWISH TEACHING 
 
Prompts for wearing headscarves / veils for Jews: 
 
The Jewish Talmud states: 
 
"If a woman violates the Talmud Shari'a, such as going out into the community without wearing a veil or chattering on public roads or having fun chatting with men of any class, or making loud noises in her house so that her neighbors can hear it, then like that her husband may divorce her without paying her dowry. "[" Al Hijab ", Abul A'la Maududi, h. 6]. 
 
A Jewish religious leader, Rabbi Dr. Menachem M. Brayer, Professor of Gospel Literature at Yeshiva University in his book, The Jewish Woman in Rabbinic Literature, writes that clothes for Jewish women when traveling outside the home are wearing a head covering which sometimes even has to close almost the entire face and leave only one eye. In his book he quoted a number of famous ancient Rabbis (priests): "It is not like the daughters of Israel who walked out without a head covering" and "Cursed men who let their hair look," and "The woman who let her hair open to dress up to bring poverty. " 
 
Jewish women in Europe used a veil until the 19th century until they mixed in with secular culture. Today, righteous Jewish women never wear headscarves unless they visit a synagogue (Jewish church). [S.W.Schneider, 1984, p. 238-239]. 
 
In Jewish rabbinic law, Jewish women who are married and not veiled are seen as dishonorable women. Jewish rabbinic law also prohibits reading and prayer in front of a married woman without covering her head with a veil because the woman who opens her hair is considered a naked woman. This woman was even considered a woman who ruined her humility and was fined with four hundred zuzim for her offenses. [Ibid, h. 74-75] 
 
The Jewish Shari'a set by Rabbinic law and the Talmud which was believed by the Jews after the Torah, stressed to women to obey and practice it. Even when Jewish women leave their homes and do not wear headscarves, men who see them must reprimand them for veiling. If the man leaves it, then he is damned. So are husbands to their wives. Therefore, it can be said that veiling is a Shari'a that must be upheld in Jewish life. 
 
The headscarf worn by Jewish women is not only a Shari'a that must be obeyed, but also as a symbol of luxury, authority, and the high price of a holy woman, and shows respectable social status. This is confirmed by Menachem M. Brayer that Jewish women's headscarves are not always considered a sign of simplicity or humility, but also a symbol of privilege and luxury, the dignity and superiority of noble women, and describe the high price of women as sacred husbands, as well as prices a woman's self and social status. [ibid, h. 75]. 
 
VEHICLE ACCORDING TO NASRANI'S TEACHING

- "... But every woman who prays or prophesies with a head that is not hooded, insults her head, because she is the same as a woman whose hair is shaved. Because if a woman does not want to cover her head, then she must cut her hair too. But if it is an insult to a woman that her hair is cut or shaved, then she must cover her head. Because a man does not need to cover his head: he shines on the image and glory of God. But women shine on the glory of men. Because men do not come from women, but women come from men. And men are not created because of women, but women are created because of men. Therefore, women must wear a sign of authority on their heads because of the angels. However, in God there are no women without men and no men without women. Because just as women come from men, so do men born to women; and everything comes from God. Consider yourself: Should women pray to God with a head that is not hooded? Does not nature itself tell you, that it is disgrace for men, if they have long hair, but that it is an honor for women, if they have long hair? Because hair is given to women to be hoodies ... " 
 
(Corinthians 11: 5-15). 
 
- "... By dusk Isaac was out to take a walk in the field. He glanced at him, so he saw camels coming. Rebekah also looked at him and when he saw Isaac, he came down from his camel. He said to the servant: "Who is this man who walks in the field toward us?" The servant answered: "He is my master." Then Rebekah took his shoulder and held on to him. "

Veiling in the Christian tradition is not much different from the Jewish tradition. The women around Jesus Christ are veiled or veiled according to the practices of the women around the earlier Prophets. Their clothes are loose and cover their bodies completely. They also veiled to cover their hair. That means that veiled Christian women are a sign of obedience to God. This veiled tradition has even been practiced by Catholic nuns for hundreds of years. - "When Brahma passes, when Brahma chooses you to be a woman, you should bow your eyes, you should not look. You have to hide your wrist, and you should not show what is on your wrist. "[Rigveda Book 8 Hymn 33 Verses 19]. 
 
- "People should not be indecent, if a husband wears his wife's clothes, she may not wear the opposite sex clothes." [Rigveda Book 10 Hym 85 Verses 30]. 
 
"Rama said to Shinta, he ordered that he lower his gaze and wear a veil." [Mahavir Charitra Act 2]. 
 
HIJAB / CADAR ACCORDING TO BUDDHA TEACHING 
 
Prompts for wearing headscarves / veils for Buddhists: 
 
During the Buddha's time some women wore the veil even though it was more like the same as a hat than to cover their faces. But around the beginning of the first millennium, veils began to be regarded as appropriate for upper class women and those in the royal household to cover themselves with a veil. This was the beginning of what was called purdah, the alienation of women from the general public, a trend that became more widespread in India with the introduction of Islam in the 13th century. Village women in India are still pulling on their sari covering their faces in front of men who have no connection with them. 
 
Lalitavistara [Sutra], a fantastic life story of the Buddha compiled around the first century BCE and the 3rd century AD, contains an interesting story regarding the issue of women wearing veils. Based on this work, after Yasodhara was chosen to become the wife of Prince Siddhartha, people criticized him for not covering himself with a veil in front of his father and mother-in-law. This is considered a sign of immodesty and infidelity " 
 
Lalitavistara describes the young woman defending herself in the following words: 
 
"Those who are in control of actions and behavior, both in speech, with controlled senses, calm and peaceful, why should they cover their faces? Even if it is covered with a thousand veils, if they are shameless and disrespectful, dishonest and have no virtue, they live in this world without being covered and unprotected. Even without being veiled if their senses and minds are well preserved, they are loyal to one husband, never think of another [man], they shine like the sun and moon. So why do they have to cover their faces? Wise people who [can] read the minds of others know what I mean as well as the gods know my behavior and virtues, my obedience and modesty, Therefore, why should I cover my face? " 
 
Even though this story is doubtful (apocryphal), this is consistent with the Buddha's view that psychological and internal matters are more important than material and external things.

Hijab and hijab cannot be separated from the lives of Muslim women. A Muslim woman must wear a hijab and a headscarf when she is an adult or when she has had menstruation. "Aisyah R.ah said: Asthma 'bint Abi Bakar met Rasul SAW in thin clothes, at once the Apostle SAW turned away saying: Hi Asma', actually if a woman has menstruation, it is no longer natural to see her except this and this (she points to her face and both hands) 
 
The obligation to maintain the genitals of the opposite sex who are not mahram 
Likewise about the female genitalia that must be covered with hijab from the view of other people who are not mahram mentioned in the Al-Qur'an letter An Nur verse 31 below 
 
وقل للمؤمنات يغضضن من أبصارهن ويحفظن فروجهن ولا يبدين زينتهن إلا ما ظهر منها وليضربن بخمرهن على جيوبهن ولا يبدين زينتهن إلا لبعولتهن أو آبائهن أو آباء بعولتهن أو أبنائهن أو أبناء بعولتهن أو إخوانهن أو بني إخوانهن أو بني أخواتهن أو نسائهن أو ما ملكت أيمانهن أو التَّابِعِينَ غَيْرِ أُولِي الْإِرْبَةِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ أَوِ الطّ فل الذين لم يظهروا على عورات النساء ولا يضربن بأرجلهن ليعلم ما يخفين من زينتهن وتوبوا إلى الله جميعا أيه المؤمنون لعلكم تفلحو 
 
"Say to the woman who has faith:" Let them hold their eyes, and their genitals, and let them not show their jewelry, except those (ordinary) that appear from them. And let them cover the veil of the cloth, and do not show off their jewelry except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husbands' fathers, or their sons, or the sons of their husbands, or their brothers or sons or the sons of their brothers, or the sons of their sisters, or Muslim women, or slaves they have, or male servants who have no desire (towards women) or children who do not understand about women's genitals. And let them not strike kakinyua so that the jewelry they hide is known. And repent all of you to Allah, O you who believe so that you will be lucky "(QS An Nur verse 31)

In Islam, a Muslim woman is required to wear a headscarf or clothes that cover her nakedness. So the hijab is not just a headgear. Many people misinterpret the word hijab.

What do Muslim Women Wear on Their Heads

Muslim women are advised to cover their faces in front of the ajnabi (non-mahram) man. Or in other words, it is suggested for them to wear the veil. These are things that exist and are taught in Islam. The scholars of the four schools of thought stated that covering their faces for women was a recommended matter, or even some scholars thought this was obligatory. They postulated with the arguments of the Qur'an and the Sunnah. 
 
On this occasion we will present a number of propositions from the Qur'an which form the basis for the closing of the face for women. 
 
Proposition 1 
 
Allah Ta'ala said: 
 
يا أيها النبي قل لأزواجك وبناتك ونساء المؤمنين يدنين عليهن من جلابيبهن ذلك أدنى أن يعرفن فلا يؤذين وكان الله غفورا رحيما 
 
"O Prophet say to your wives, your daughters and the wives of the believers: Let them stretch their veils all over their bodies. That is so that they are easier to recognize, so they are not disturbed. And Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. "(Surah Al Ahzab: 33). 
 
Imam Ath Thabari Rahimahullah explains: 
 
ثم اختلف أهل التأويل في صفة الإدناء الذي أمرهن الله به فقال بعضهم: هو أن يغطين وجوههن ورءوسهن فلا يبدين منهن إلا عينا واحدة 
 
"The scholars interpret it as a mistake about the nature of hijab that Allah commands in this verse. Some of them say: that is by covering their faces and their heads, and showing nothing but only one eye. " 
 
Please open any commentary on this verse, there must be a mention of some scholars' opinions about the command to cover a woman's face. 
 
Proposition 2 
 
Allah Ta'ala said: 
 
وَإِذَا سَأَلْتُمُوهُنَّ مَتَاعًا فَاسْأَلُوهُنَّ مِنْ وَرَاءِ حِجَابٍ 
 
"If you ask for something (necessity) for them (the wives of the Prophet), then ask from behind the hijab." (Surah Al Ahzab: 53). 
 
As Sa'di rahimahullah explained: 
 
يكون بينكم وبينهن ستر ، يستر عن النظر ، لعدم الحاجة إليه. فصار النظر إليهن ممنوعًا بكل حال 
 
"That means, you (the man) and the Prophet's wives should have a barrier that obstructs the view. Because there is no need to look at it. So from here, men look at women (who are not mahram) the law is prohibited under any circumstances. " 
 
Syaikh Sulaiman bin Shalih Al Kharrasyi in the book "Waqafat Ma'a Man Yara Jawaza Kasyfil Wajhi" (15) said: 
 
هذه الآية يتفق العلماء على أنها تدل على وجوب الحجاب وتغطية الوجه 
 
"The scholars agree that this verse shows the obligation to wear the hijab and cover the face (of women)" 
 
Apart from the omission of the ulama concerning this verse khithab and also regarding the veil law, it is clear in this verse there is a wajh (the side of the trial) which the veil will be prescribed. 
 
Proposition 3 
 
Allah Ta'ala said: 
 
وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ 
 
"And let them (the women) extend the veil cloth to their chests" (QS. An Nuur: 31). 
 
In Sahih Bukhari, the hadith mentioned from Ummul Mu'minin Ayesha radhiallahu'anha, he said: 
 
لمَّا نزلت ْهذه الآيةُ: {وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ}. أخذْنَ أزُرَهنَّ فشَقَقْنَها من قِبَلِ الحَوَاشِي ، فاخْتَمَرْنَ بها 
 
"When the verse goes down: 
 
وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ 
 
the Shahabiyah women took their cloths, then they tore them from the edges and chimed with them. " 
 
Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani rahimahullah-ulama the great school of Syafi'i - explained the words of Ayesha radhiallahu'anha: 
 
قوله فاختمرن أي غطين وجوههن وصفة ذلك أن تضع الخمار على رأسها وترميه من الجانب الأيمن على العاتق الأيسر 
 
"He said [ber-khimar with him], meaning that they covered their faces. The trick is to put the khimar on top of their heads and then extend the cloth from the right side to the left shoulder. " 
 
So according to Ibn Hajar's explanation, the sahabiyah understood the verse above as an order to cover their bodies including their faces. 
 
Proposition 4 
 
Allah Ta'ala said: 
 
وَلَا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا 
 
"And do not let them (women) show their jewelry, except those (ordinary) that appear from them" (QS. An Nur: 31). 
 
The ulama made a mistake in interpreting the verse َلَّا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا (except for the (usual) one from it). But Abdullah bin Masud radhiallahu'anhu interpreted this verse that women should not show except their clothes. 
 
عن عبد الله ، أنه قال: (وَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلا مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا): قال: هي الثياب 
 
"From Abdullah bin Masud, he said about the verse: [and do not expose their jewelery, except those (ordinary) appearing from it], that is to say: except for his clothes" 
 
Likewise the interpretations of Ibrahim An Nakha'i and Al Hasan Al Bashri rahimahumullah. 
 
So this verse also shows that the face is covered by clothes. 
 
Proposition 5 
 
Allah Ta'ala said: 
 
والقواعد من النساء اللاتي لا يرجون نكاحا فليس عليهن جناح أن يضعن ثيابهن غير متبرجات بزينة وأن يستعففن خير لهن والله سميع عليم 
 
"And old women who have been stopped (from menstruation and conceived) who do not want to marry (again), are they not guilty of taking off their clothes by not (intending) to show jewelry, and being polite is better for them. And Allah is Hearing, Wise ”(Surat an-Nur: 60). 
 
Ibn Kathir explained: 
 
قال ابن مسعود في قوله "فليس عليهن جناح أن يضعن ثيابهن" قال: الجلباب أو الرداء وكذلك روي عن ابن عباس وابن عمر ومجاهد وسعيد بن جبير وأبي الشعثاء وإبراهيم النخعي والحسن وقتادة والزهري والأوزاعي وغيرهم 
 
"Ibn Mas'ud interpreted the verse [there is no sin for them to take off their clothes] that is to say their headscarves or rida‘ them. Likewise, it was narrated from Ibn Umar, Mujahid, Ibn Jubair, Abusy Sya'tsa, Ibrahim An Nakha'i, Al Hasan Al Basri, Qatadah, Az Zuhri, Al Auza'i and besides them. " 
 
Most salaf scholars interpret the "veil" as a cloth that covers the top including the face. Asy Syaukani brought several scholars' explanations about the meaning of the hijab, 
 
قال الجوهري: الجلباب: الملحفة, وقيل: القناع, وقيل: هو ثوب يستر جميع بدن المرأة, كما ثبت في الصحيح من حديث أم عطية أنها قالت: يا رسول الله إحدانا لا يكون لها جلباب, فقال: «لتلبسها أختها من جلبابها» قال الواحدي : قَالَ الْمُفَسِّرُونَ: يُغَطِّينَ وجوههنّ ورؤوسهنّ إِلَّا عَيْنًا وَاحِدَةً ، فَيُعْلَمُ أَنَّهُنَّ حَرَائِرُ فَلَا يعرض لهن بِأَذًى. وَقَالَ الْحَسَنُ: تُغَطِّي نِصْفَ وَجْهِهَا. وقال قتادة: تلويه فوق الجبين وتشده ثم تعطفه على الأنف وإن ظهرت عيناها لكنه يستر الصدر ومعظم الوجه 
 
"Al Jauhari said, the veil is a milhafah (a very wide cloth). Some scholars say, the headscarf is al qina '(a type of veil to cover the head and face). Some scholars say, hijab is clothing that covers a woman's entire body. As in the saheeh hadith, from the hadith of Umm Athiyyah, that he said: ai O Messenger of Allah, among us there are those who do not have a veil '. Then the Messenger of Allah answered: ada there should be one of you who covers his sister with her headscarf ‘. Al Wahidi said: ‘according to the Muslim scholars the headscarf was used to cover their faces and heads except for one eye, so they were known to be free women so they were not disturbed by people. Al Hasan said: 'The headscarf is used to cover half a woman's face'. Qatadah said: ab the headscarf covered tightly the forehead, and lightly covered the nose. Even though his eyes are still visible, the veil covers the chest and the majority of the face ' 
 
Said bin Jubair explains the meaning of this verse: 
 
"أن يضعن من ثيابهن" وهو الجلباب من فوق الخمار فلا بأس أن يضعن عند غريب أو غيره بعد أن يكون عليها خمار صفيق 
 
"[They have not sinned to take off their clothes] means that their veil is on top of the khimar. So it's okay to release it in front of strangers or otherwise, if they wear thick khimar. " 
 
So this verse gives relief to menopausal old women to release the fabric of their superiors covering their faces and chests. But they still use khimar. 
 
So understand, women who have not yet menopause are ordered to continue wearing headscarves in front of non-mahram men. And "veil" here means the fabric of the top that covers the head, face and chest. 
 
So that in this verse there is a signal that the woman will cover her face. 
 
Thus a number of propositions from the Al-Qur'an Al Karim about being covered in faces for women, based on the interpretation of Islamic scholars.
