How much we see today, women dressed in Muslim clothing, but still in tight condition. Really sometimes the heart feels sore. What is the difference between the appearance of those who are hooded and the appearance of other women who are not hooded if they are equally tight [?]
Therefore, our current discussion is about Muslim women's clothing that they should wear. The discussion this time is continued from the discussion on "Women Dressed But Naked". May be useful. Only Allah can give taufik and hidayah.
Allah Ta'ala said,
"O Prophet, say to your wives, your daughters and the wives of your people:" Let them bring their hijab closer to their bodies ". That is so that they are easier to recognize, so they are not disturbed. And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah Al Ahzab [33]: 59). The headscarf is not a face covering, but a headscarf is a cloth worn by women after wearing khimar. While khimar is a head covering.
Allah Ta'ala also said,
"Say to women who believe:" Let them hold their eyes, and their genitals, and let them not show their jewelry, except those (ordinary) appearing from them. "(Surat an Nuur [24]: 31). Based on the interpretation of Ibn Abbas, Ibn Umar, Atho 'bin Abi Robbah, and Mahkul Ad Dimasqiy that the face and the palms can be revealed.
From this beautiful interpretation, it can be seen that the face is not aurat. So, the law of covering one's face is mustahab (recommended). (See Al Mar'ah Al Muslimah Hijab, Amru Abdul Mun'im, p. 14)
Women's Clothing Requirements to Look For
Women's clothing that is true and in accordance with the guidance of God and His Messenger has conditions. So not necessarily any clothes that are said to be Muslim clothing or sold in Muslim shops we can call syar'i clothes. We have to return all the clothes to the Muslim clothing conditions.
The scholars have mentioned these conditions and all of this does not indicate that clothing that fulfills such requirements is a certain class or stream of clothing. Not at all. All the requirements for women's clothing are conditions that come from the Qur'an and hadiths that are shihih, not certain groups or streams of understanding. We beg you not to be misunderstood.
The Ulama who specified this condition and very good explanation was Shaykh Muhammad Nashiruddin Al Albani rahimahullah - the expert of the hadith of this century -. Then there was the cleric who completed the conditions he conveyed, namely Shaykh Amru Abdul Mun'im hafizhohullah. Remember once again, the conditions that the scholars mention are not their own. But everything they convey is based on the Qur'an and the hadith that are shohih.
The first condition: women's clothing must cover the entire body except the face and palms. Remember, in addition to these two limbs must be covered as well as the soles of the feet.
The second condition: not clothes to decorate as many are decorated with pictures of flowers especially those that are colorful, or accompanied by images of animate creatures, especially the picture of a political party symbol! The latter can even lead to divisions among Muslims.
Allah Ta'ala said,
"And let you remain in your house and do not tabarruj like the first ignorant people." (Surah Al Ahzab: 33). Tabarruj is the behavior of women who show their jewelry and beauty and everything that should be closed because it can tempt men.
Remember, that the purpose of the command to wear a headscarf is an order to cover women's jewelry. Thus, it makes no sense if the headscarf that serves to cover women's jewelry instead becomes clothing to decorate as we often find.
The third condition: the clothes are not thin and not transparent which can show the shape of the body curves. Muslim clothing must also be loose and not tight so as not to describe the shape of the body curves.
In a Shihih hadith, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Two groups of residents of hell that I have never seen, namely: A people who have whips, such as cows to hit humans and women dressed but naked, waddling, their heads are like a sloping camel hump, a woman like that won't go to heaven and won't smell it, even though the smell smells during this and this trip. "(HR.Muslim)
Ibn il Abdil Barr rahimahullah said, "The meaning of kasiyatun‘ ariyatun is women who wear thin clothes so that they can describe their body shape, the clothes have not been covered (the limbs that must be covered perfectly). They are indeed clothed, but in essence they are naked. "(Hijab Al Mar'ah Al Muslimah, 125-126)
Look, from here we can judge whether the hijab is thin and tight that is worn by many students and mothers around us and even the artists are in accordance with the shari'ah or not.
The fourth condition: no fragrance or perfume.
From Abu Musa Al Asy'ary, he said, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
"Any woman who wears fragrances, then passes men to get their smell, then she is an adulterous woman." (Narrated by An Nasa'i, Abu Daud, Tirmidhi and Ahmad. Syaikh Al Albani in Shohihul Jami 'no. 323 said that this hadith is shohih). Look at this harsh threat!
The fifth condition: it may not resemble men's clothing or non-Muslim clothing.
From Ibn Abbas radhiyallahu ‘anhu said,
"The Prophet cursed men who resembled women and women who resembled men." (Narrated by Bukhari no. 6834)
It really crushes our hearts, how today's women flock to seize so many types of men's clothing. There is almost no type of men's clothing except women are free to wear it, so sometimes someone is not able to distinguish anymore, which men and women because of wearing trousers.
The Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said,
"Whoever resembles a people, he is included as part of them" (Narrated by Ahmad and Abu Dawud. Syaikhul Islam in Iqtidho 'says that this hadith is a jadid / good sanad)
How sad this heart is to see womenfolk today so enthusiastic about western fashion fashions both through magazines, television, and photographs of makeup of artists and movie stars. Laa haula walaa illa quwwata billah.
Sixth condition: not clothes to look for fame or popularity (read: shuhroh clothes).
From Abdullah bin ‘Umar, the Prophet sallallaahu‘ alaihi wa sallam said,
"Whoever wears shuhroh clothes in the world, surely Allah will wear clothes of humiliation to him on the Day of Judgment, then burn them with hellfire." (Narrated by Abu Daud and Ibn Majah. Syaikh Al Albani said this hadith hasan)
Syuhroh clothes here can be in the form of the most luxurious clothes or the most comfortable or dirty clothes so that they are seen as zuhud people. Sometimes also the purpose of shuhroh clothing is clothing that is different from the clothes commonly used in the country and not used in those days. All shuhroh clothes like this are forbidden.
Seventh condition: the garment is free from the cross.
From Diqroh Umm Abdirrahman bin Udzainah, he said,
"We once prayed at the Ka'bah together with the Believers (Aisha), then he saw a woman wearing a burdah with a cross. The Believers then said, "Release the cross. Release the cross. Indeed the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam when he saw such a thing, he omitted it." (Narrated by Ahmad. Syaikh Syu'aib Al Arnauth said that this hadith hasan)
Ibn Muflih in Al Adabusy Syar'iyyah said, "The cross in clothing and other things is forbidden. Ibn Hamdan meant that the law was haraam. "
Eighth condition: there is no image of animate creatures (humans and animals).
Pictures of creatures also include jewelry. So, this is included in the patient ban as stated in the second condition above. There are also other propositions that support this.
From Ayesha radhiyallahu ha anha, he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu‘ alaihi wa sallam entered my house, then there was a cloth covered with pictures (animate creature that has a spirit, pen). When the Prophet sallallaahu aih alaihi wa sallam saw him, he immediately changed the color and tore it. After that he said,
"Indeed, the man who is the most severe torture on the Day of Resurrection is that which resembles Allah's creation."
The ninth condition: the clothes come from sacred and halal material.
Tenth condition: these clothes are not vanity clothes.
Eleventh condition: the clothes are not wasteful clothes.
Twelfth condition: not clothes that match ahlu bid'ah's clothes. Such as requiring to wear black clothes when getting a disaster as did Syi'ah Rofidhoh to their women while in Muharram. Syaikh Ibn Uthaymeen said that such a decree was syi'ar batil which had no foundation.
This is a brief explanation of the requirements of the headscarf. If the reader wants to see the full explanation, please see the Jilbab Al Mar'ah Al Muslimah book written by Shaykh Muhammad Nashiruddin Al Albani. This book has been translated as 'Muslim Women's Hijab'. It can also be supplemented with the book of Jilbab Al Mar'ah Al Muslimah written by Syaikh Amru Abdul Mun'im which complements the discussion of Syaikh Al Albani.
Finally, we advise men to warn their wives, family members or siblings about this clothing problem. Indeed, we as men often neglect this. Hopefully this verse can be a suggestion for all of us.
"O ye who believe, take care of yourself and your family from hellfire whose fuel is human and stone; keepers of angels who are rude, violent, and do not disobey God for what He commands them and always do what is commanded. "(QS. At Tahrim: 6)
May Allah give tikik to all of us in obeying His every command and avoiding His prohibitions.
Alhamdullillahilladzi bi ni'matihi tatimmush sholihat.
