Women in Islam are very protected and very high degree because besides being weak, women are also strong creatures because women can do and experience things that cannot be done or experienced by men such as menstruation, pregnancy, menopause and others.

But besides that, women also often become one of the sources of negative "slander" which harms many parties, especially in terms of the aurat and clothes they wear to cover up the nakedness.

Regarding this case Allah has said in the letter of verse 31 that explains:
"Say to women who believe:" Let them hold their eyes, and their genitals, and let them not show their jewelry, except those (ordinary) that appear from them. "(Surah An Nuur: 31).

As a simple example, a woman's clothes that are open and transparent will arouse a man's passions or passions so that eventually many crimes and immoral acts occur as a result of this.

Islam itself has regulated the procedures for clothes that are good and right for Muslim women as a form of guarding themselves and their nakedness and as a form of their devotion to Allah subhana hua ta'ala.

This article will discuss in full about Islamic dress procedures for women:

Closing aurat
The whole body of a woman is the nakedness except the face and palms and the tips of her fingers. Long clothes and a veil dangling to cover the chest is one of the clothing recommended in Islam.

This has been clearly stated in the Qur'anic verse al-Ahzab verse 59 which means:

"O Prophet, say to your wives, your daughters and the wives of your people:" Let them bring their hijab closer to their bodies ". That is so that they are easier to recognize, so they are not disturbed. And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful. (Surah Al Ahzab: 59).

In fact, it is not uncommon for women to wear a veil to cover their face and only leave their eyes open because the face of the woman is the same as other body parts that have beauty and can trigger negative lusts in men who look directly at him for a long time.

Using Loose Clothes

Wearing loose clothing is an effort to cover the genitals too, because closing the genitals is not just a matter of covering the body but also camouflaging the curves of the body so that the curves of our bodies are not printed on the tight clothes we use. For this reason, Islam requires women to wear loose clothes. In addition, in the world of health also recommends loose clothing so that our body's skin has free space and breathing space for our skin.

Avoiding Syuhroh Clothing

Shuhroh clothes are clothes that attract too many people, whether they are too fancy or too inappropriate to wear or clothes that do not adjust to the time and place.

From Abdullah bin ‘Umar, the Prophet sallallaahu‘ alaihi wa sallam said:

"Whoever wears shuhroh clothes in the world, surely Allah will wear clothes of humiliation to him on the Day of Judgment, then burn them with hellfire." (Narrated by Abu Daud and Ibn Majah)

Using Simple Clothes

In terms of the simplicity of clothing and appearance, both men and women are equally encouraged to apply it. Because clothes that are too conspicuous will attract the attention of men and create other 'fitnh' such as feeling inferior, jealous, jealous, arrogant and even arrogant both on the wearer or the person who saw it.

Using Thick Clothing (Not Available)

This has been mentioned in the previous point that closing the genitals is not only a matter of covering the body but also camouflaging the curve of the body so that it is not printed on clothes that are transparent or tight. Although the clothes are loose, but if the material is thin and transparent, the body curves will still be seen vaguely.

Therefore a woman must be smart and wise in choosing the clothes she will wear by choosing the right material and not transparent.

In a Shihih hadith, the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:

"The two groups of residents of hell that I have never seen, namely: A people who have a whip, like a cow's tail to hit humans and women dress but naked, waddle, their heads like sloping camel humps, women like that will not go to heaven and won't smell it, even though the smell smells during this and this trip. "(HR.Muslim).

Avoiding clothes that resemble men

Islam is very strict in this regard that women are not permitted to wear clothes or look like men, and vice versa.

This has been explained in the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah ra "The Messenger of Allāh yang will curse men who wear women's clothing and women who wear men's clothing."

Kamudian Ibn Abbas radhiyallahu ‘anhu also said:

"The Prophet cursed men who resembled women and women who resembled men." (Narrated by Bukhari)

Avoiding clothes that resemble an infidel

Muslim women's clothing will obviously be very different from those who are infidels and other religions, Islamic settings in matters of clothing not only prioritize the matter of fashion or the function of clothes worn by someone but more than that, namely aurat and all 'fitnah' that might be possible generated from a human body.

Not Using Fragrant Fragrances

Islam does not allow Muslim women to use perfumes when they leave home. Without the use of fragrances, a woman can cause a lot of 'lingering', especially if she uses fragrances, the fragrant smell that men smell can attract more attention and can even arouse passion or lust to just tease or even do negative things that are more dangerous and degrading. the woman.

A hadith From Abu Musa Al Asy'ary explained that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said:

"Any woman who wears fragrances, then passes men so they get the smell, then she is an adulterous woman." (HR. An Nasa'i, Abu Daud, Tirmidzi and Ahmad).

Avoid Decorative Clothes

Clothing that is decorated with various colors and images is not recommended for Muslim women more if the picture is a picture of a living creature that has an absolute spirit like animals and humans. In addition, images or writings that can cause division and war are also not permitted in Islam such as the symbol of political parties or writings containing sara or other elements.

Avoid Bertabarruj

Tabarruj is a bad behavior for women that shows what must be covered by using the hijab they use by showing their crowns, jewelry and beauty, and everything in their bodies that should be closed behind their headscarves because it can tempt men

Allah Ta'ala said in Surat al-Ahzab verse 33 which means:

"And let you remain in your house and do not tabarruj like the first ignorant people." (Surah Al Ahzab: 33).
